On February 6, our country faced the disaster of the century. Two earthquakes of 7.7 and 7.6 magnitude deeply affected Kahramanmaraş, Adıyaman, Malatya, Diyarbakır, Gaziantep, Şanlıurfa, Hatay, Kilis, Adana and Osmaniye. Gönül Kamalı, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Software Industrialists Association, stated that they have been in total solidarity to heal the wounds from the first moment of the earthquake and said, "We want to make the people of the region feel that they are not alone. As YASAD, we started to work by contacting all our members starting from the first hours of the earthquake. We launched 'Blood Donation, Emergency Food and Clothing' need campaigns in coordination with AFAD and KIZILAY. Then we focused on the heating problem of the region. We contacted AFAD, İPRAGAZ, MİLANGAZ and supplier ORGAZ and started the 'A Stove for Every Tent' campaign. In order to ensure that the earthquake victims can be heated in the tents, we have supplied cylinders and camp-type gas heaters mounted on them. I would like to thank all our contributing members for their sensitivity." Kamalı said that in the following process, they will focus on working for the re-development and development of the region in cooperation with local institutions and organizations.
