Minister of Trade Prof. Dr. Ömer Bolat attended the HIB meeting

At the meeting, there was a change of duty in the Service Exporters' Association. Ahmet Bolat, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Turkish Airlines, who has carried out important projects for the development of the Service Exporters' Association, handed over the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors of HIB to Şekip Avdagiç, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Istanbul Chamber of Commerce and Board Member of Turkish Airlines. After the change of duty, the committee members presented their opinions and suggestions to Minister Ömer Bolat. Speaking at the meeting, Gönül Kamalı, Chairman of the Board of Directors of YASAD, shared his views and suggestions on the globalization process of the software industry. Minister Ömer Bolat, who listened to the industry representatives, stated that they stand by the service exporters and said the following: "With the strong will of our President, we will carry our Turkey, which is the production and export base of its region, to the top of the most powerful actors of global exports. We strive to become the 'leading country in service exports' in our dynamically growing services industry from tourism to health services, from education to transportation, from informatics to entertainment-culture industry. Our services exports, which were 14 billion dollars in 2002, reached 90.5 billion dollars in 2022 with a 6.5-fold increase. We set our 2023 service export target as 120 billion dollars. We will continue to strengthen our economy by providing net foreign currency inflow, employment increase and added value to our country with our service industries. We stand by our service exporters with our industry-specific new generation service export supports."
